Lakeshore East – West Corridor Expansion
Torys acted as counsel to Infrastructure Ontario and Metrolinx as the public authorities for the Lakeshore East – West Corridor Expansion PPP project—a component of the first phase of Metrolinx's Regional Express Rail (RER) Program—to build and finance certain infrastructure upgrades in support of the planned expansion of GO Transit's rail service on the Lakeshore East line.

The project will feature
- addition of a fourth track on the south side between the Don River Bridge and Gerrard Street shifting to the north side between Pape Avenue and Scarborough GO Station
- widening of bridges at: Woodbine Avenue, Warden Avenue and Danforth Avenue
- widening of works under the Birchmount Road Bridge
- new station building and platform changes at Danforth GO Station
- three culvert extensions—one east of Coxwell Avenue, one east of Kennedy Road and one at Scarborough Junction
- retaining walls along the west segment of the Lakeshore East Corridor
