Jon’s practice focuses on litigation and dispute resolution in a variety of areas, with a significant focus on commercial disputes and public and regulatory law disputes. He has acted for both public- and private-sector clients in administrative hearings, judicial reviews and constitutional law matters. Jon also represents clients in administrative proceedings under access to information legislation.
Jon has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario, the Federal Court, the Federal Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada.

Jon sits on the leadership team of The Advocates’ Society’s Regulatory and Administrative Law Practice Group and is a longstanding Director of The Osgoode Society for Canadian Legal History.
In 2016 to 2017, Jon served as a law clerk to Chief Justice Wagner of the Supreme Court of Canada. Prior to joining Torys, Jon worked as a student with the judges of the Superior Court of Ontario in Toronto. At law school, Jon was a senior editor for the Osgoode Hall Law Journal and a Dean's Fellow in Tort Law.
