We are pleased to share that Torys has been named winners in two categories at the 2022 IFLR Americas Awards; we won the Canada Banking and Finance Firm of the Year category, and Project Finance Deal of the Year category for our work on the Fargo-Moorhead Metropolitan Area Flood Risk Management PPP.
Being named the Canada Banking and Finance Firm of the Year demonstrated our team’s novel approach and efficiency in creating tailored solutions that meet the needs of our clients.
The Fargo-Moorhead Metropolitan Area Flood Risk Management PPP project was the first PPP flood management project in North America. Led by Tara Mackay, Josh Van Deurzen and Jessica Ho-Wo-Cheong, Torys acted as counsel to Red River Valley Alliance as the successful proponent to design, build, finance, operate and maintain a flood control project on the Red River that borders North Dakota and Minnesota.
