St. John's New Adult Corrections Facility
Torys is acting as counsel for the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador as the public authority for the C$692.8 million New Adult Corrections Facility PPP project to design, build, finance and maintain a new 21,000 square meter facility to replace Her Majesty’s Penitentiary in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador.
The new correctional facility will more than double the capacity of Her Majesty's Penitentiary and allow for more programming, recreation and better mental-health services.
The Torys team includes Mark Bain, Josh Van Deurzen, Emily Stewart and Brianna Cowling.
