North Shore Wastewater Treatment Plant
Torys acted as counsel to the lenders to ADAPT (Acciona Infrastructure), the successful proponent for the C$525 million North Shore Wastewater Treatment Plant (formerly the Lions Gate Secondary Wastewater Treatment Plant) PPP project to design, build and finance new infrastructure to provide secondary wastewater treatment and convey wastewater from the original Lions Gate facility to the new facility in North Vancouver, British Columbia.

The project involves the design and construction of a new plant, which will provide secondary sewage treatment services to a population of about 200,000 residents of three municipalities and two First Nations on the North Shore. The plant will be situated on a 3.5-hectare site located on West 1st between Pemberton and Philip Avenues in the District of North Vancouver.
On April 5, 2017, Metro Vancouver awarded the contract to ADAPT (Acciona Infrastructure) at a cost of C$525 million.
