Sorel-Tracy Detention Centre
Torys acted as counsel to the lenders to SNC-Lavalin Capital, a shortlisted proponent for the Sorel-Tracy Detention Centre PPP project to design, build, finance and maintain a new 300-cell correctional facility in Sorel-Tracy, Québec.
The new facility will replace two existing facilities in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield and Sorel-Tracy regions and add 149 beds to existing capacity.
The project was the first detention center PPP in Québec.
Torys acted as counsel with a team that included Mark Bain and Daniel Ford.
