Abbotsford Regional Hospital & Cancer Centre
Torys partner Mark Bain acted as counsel to The Healthcare Infrastructure Company of Canada (Borealis/Carillion/EllisDon) as a shortlisted proponent for the Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre PPP project in Abbotsford, British Columbia.
The new state-of-the-art healthcare facility replaced the aging MSA Hospital, providing a broad range of the services, including
- an expanded, higher capacity emergency department
- radiation therapy and chemotherapy
- specialized obstetrics and nursery care
- MRI and nuclear medicine
- tertiary palliative care
- renal dialysis
This was the first major hospital PPP in British Columbia.
