Overview
Yinka’s practice focuses on corporate banking, leveraged finance and structured finance. She regularly acts for bank syndicates, non-bank lenders and borrowers on domestic, cross-border and international transactions, including secured and unsecured bank credit facilities, Canadian and U.S. bond offerings, mezzanine financings and structured finance transactions. Yinka has also been involved in the financing of large cross-border energy and mining projects and regularly assists clients with compliance matters relating to debt financing arrangements.

Professional Involvement
Yinka is a member of the Canadian Association of Black Lawyers, Women in Mining Canada and Young Leaders in Infrastructure.
Yinka dedicates her time to charitable activities, including serving as: a participant in the annual career fair and resume writing and review workshop hosted by the Black Law Students’ Association of Canada; a mentor through Osgoode’s Black Law Students’ Association mentoring program; a mentor for high school students enrolled in the LAWS (Law in Action Within Schools) program; and a pro bono legal advisor for the CARFAC (Canadian Artists Representation/Front des Artistes Canadiens).
During law school, Yinka worked as a research and teaching assistant at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law, including working on a proposed Charter challenge to homelessness in Canada. Yinka also spent a semester working at Nigerian law firm and was seconded to the Ontario Securities Commission.
