Michele’s practice focuses on corporate/commercial and securities law. She has experience in both public and private M&A transactions and also acts for both issuers and investment banks in a variety of public offerings and private placements of debt and equity. Michele has experience in mining law and provides ongoing advice to public companies on their disclosure, corporate governance and other corporate and securities law obligations.

While completing her JD, Michele received the Davies LLP Overall Performance Award, the McMillan LLP Award for Property Law and the Michael C. McInerney Award for Property Law.
During law school, Michele was a teacher’s assistant at the University of Western Ontario.
Before joining Torys, Michele worked as a first-year law student at a Canadian real estate law practice.
While in law school, Michele was a Case Manager at the Western Business Law Clinic and volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada and Lawyers Feed the Hungry.
While articling, Michele volunteered with the Law in Action Within Schools (LAWS) program, a high school program that uses legal education as a tool to assist students to succeed in school and become engaged and active citizens.
