Alex’s practice focuses on all areas of litigation and dispute resolution with an emphasis on public law, business law, insolvency matters and class actions.
In law school, Alex was awarded the Medal in Law for the second highest standing at Queen’s Faculty of Law.
He also received the Chief Justice McRuer Essay Prize in Constitutional Law and won the Canadian Bar Association Real Property Law Section Essay Competition.
Prior to joining Torys, Alex served as a law clerk for Justice Clément Gascon of the Supreme Court of Canada and as a law clerk for Justice David W. Stratas of the Federal Court of Appeal.
At Harvard Law School, Alex was a Frank Knox Fellow.
