Partner Nicole Mantini will serve as a workshop leader for the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada (IPIC) and McGill University’s 2026 summer course “Understanding Patents” taking place July 6–10 in Montréal. The five-day intensive course will provide a practical overview of patents and IP rights, with a focus on protecting, managing and strategically leveraging patent portfolios.
Nicole will lead the session “Patent Enforcement” on July 8. The session will examine key issues in patent enforcement, including jurisdictional differences, infringement exceptions, validity defenses and available remedies.
Nicole will also speak on the session “Managing Settlement – Guidance on managing complex patent litigation” on July 8.
