23rd Annual Current Issues in Employment Law

Counsel Irfan Kara and Assistant General Counsel Catherine Forbes will speak at the Ontario Bar Association’s 23rd Annual Current Issues in Employment Law program. The program will provide the latest developments in employment law, exploring the challenges of interpreting the law and structuring proactive and practical advice.

Catherine will speak on the panel “Overcoming Ethical Conundrums in Your Employment Law Practice” at 1:15 p.m. The panel will discuss the risks of joint representation and examine when the obligation to assist your opponent arises.

Irfan will speak on the panel “Legal Implications of AI Use in the Workplace” at 1:55 p.m. The panel will explore the latest AI developments, including new legislative mandates and navigating discrimination that may arise from the use of AI tools in hiring and employee evaluations.
