James is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and a member of The Advocates’ Society. He is a frequent speaker on corporate securities law and litigation and arbitration practice at conferences organized by the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Ontario Bar Association, the Canadian Institute and Federated Press.

James is a member of the editorial board of, and a contributor to, the Federated Press’ quarterly Corporate Litigation. He is also a former instructor and team leader at the Osgoode Hall Law School Intensive Trial Advocacy Workshop.
