What is the future of oral advocacy?

Torys senior associate Alexandra Shelley hosted a two-part episode of Friends Who Argue, a podcast by The Advocates’ Society (TAS). This discussion features TAS president Deborah E. Palter and TAS Director Peter Osborne, and takes a look at the Modern Advocacy Task Force (MATF) and its Right to be Heard: The Future of Advocacy in Canada report.

In part one of this episode, MATF member Alexandra, Deborah and Peter discuss the behind-the-scenes details of how the task force’s final report was conceived, researched, and drafted.

Alexandra, Deborah and Peter—who chairs the MATF—continue the conversation with an in-depth analysis on the findings of the report in the second part of this episode.

Friends Who Argue is a podcast for the litigation bar presented by The Advocates’ Society and hosted by the Young Advocates' and 10+ Standing Committees. The podcast features intimate conversations with advocates from across Canada, who will share stories from their journeys as advocates. You can listen to other episodes on the TAS website.
