Michichi Solar Project
To be developed on approximately 240 acres of privately owned land in Starland County, approximately 1 km northwest of the town of Drumheller, the project will consist of an array of 64,000 Astronergy 520W~540W ASTRO 5 Twins bifacial solar panels. Connected to eight Sungrow SG3600UD inverters each with an associated 3.125 MVA pad-mounted transformer, the facility will generate enough clean energy to power approximately 6,000 homes.
Acquired by Capstone at the same time as the nearby 25 MW Kneehill Solar Project, located approximately 2.5 km north of the town of Three Hills, both projects are anticipated to achieve commercial operation by January 2023.
Further information on the project can be found on Capstone Infrastructure’s website.
