Rogers forms joint venture with BCE for Canadian Retail Operations of GLENTEL
On December 24, 2014, Rogers Communications Inc. (Rogers) announced that it reached an agreement with BCE Inc. (BCE) under which the two companies will jointly own GLENTEL Inc.'s (GLENTEL) Canadian retail distribution outlets once the pending acquisition of GLENTEL by BCE, announced on November 28, 2014, was complete.
BCE announced the completion of its acquisition of all of the issued and outstanding common shares of Glentel on May, 20, 2015, after which it divested 50% of its ownership interest to Rogers, pursuant to their previously announced agreement.
