Overview
Aren is a corporate and commercial lawyer with a focus on transactions related to commercial real estate. He advises on mergers & acquisitions, redevelopments, financings, expropriations, as well as on acquisitions and dispositions of real property. His experience includes office, commercial, and residential properties, mixed-use developments, seniors housing, transit projects, renewable energy and a wide range of other asset classes.

Professional Involvement
Aren worked as an associate at the legal department of RioCan Real Estate Investment Trust.
In law school, Aren was President of the Osgoode-Schulich JD/MBA Students’ Association and volunteered as a caseworker at Osgoode Hall’s well-established Community and Legal Aid Services Program (CLASP), as well as with the up-and-coming Osgoode Venture Capital Clinic. Aren was also associate editor of the renowned Osgoode Hall Law Journal.
Aren has received numerous academic awards, including the Pattanaik Award for Excellence in Finance, Steven K. Hudson Finance Award, Thomas Beck MBA Award, Hennick Scholar Award and the Dean’s Entrance Award from the Schulich School of Business. He also received the Louis J. Brody, Q.C. Scholarship and McMillan LLP Award from Osgoode Hall Law School.
