Daniel’s practice focuses on the energy sector, with an emphasis on energy regulatory matters. His experience includes advising public and private sector energy sector participants on matters relating to electricity markets, regulatory proceedings and investigations, energy procurements, and regulatory and commercial issues arising from energy transactions and project development.
Daniel is fluent in French.
Prior to joining Torys, Daniel worked as an associate in the energy group at a national Bay Street law firm, where he seconded with the Independent Electricity System Operator.
Daniel serves as a board member with Young Professionals in Energy, a non-profit organization centered around the advancement of young professionals in the global energy industry. Daniel is also a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals from which he holds the CIPP/C certification.
