Shalom litigates complex commercial disputes in arbitrations and courts across Canada. He handles cases before the Federal Court, all levels of court in Ontario, and the courts of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and the Yukon.

The core of Shalom’s practice focuses on construction and infrastructure. He acts for owners, constructors, designers, and financers of infrastructure in their most important disputes at all stages of the infrastructure lifecycle, from procurement, through permitting, construction, operation, and decommissioning/sale. Shalom is sought after in matters requiring emergency relief, including injunctions, interim adjudications, liens, and judicial reviews.

Shalom works closely as part of the firm’s Family Enterprises Practice to manage disputes arising out of family office, high net worth families, charitable foundations, and trust and estate issues.
