Scott is a member of the Insolvency Institute of Canada, the Turnaround Management Association, the Insolvency Section of the Ontario Bar Association, INSOL International, the Canadian Insolvency Foundation and the Commercial List Users’ Committee.

He is a widely published authority on restructuring and insolvency issues; he has published articles in Canadian Bankruptcy Reports, Credit and Banking Litigation Quarterly and Commercial Insolvency Reporter, and authored papers presented to INSOL International, the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Ontario Bar Association, Osgoode Hall Law School and the Insolvency Institute of Canada. Scott also serves as the Ontario editor of Commercial Insolvency Reporter.
