Iman previously practiced law in Qatar and Pakistan for seven years, advising public and private sector clients on high-impact corporate transactions, regulatory compliance, project finance and investment structuring. Her work included digital infrastructure, urban development and cross-border regulatory matters.

Iman has also served as a mentor with the Law in Action Within Schools (LAWS) program, a high school program that uses legal education as a tool to assist students in succeeding in school and becoming engaged and active citizens.
