Partner Julie Himo and counsel Marissa Daniels will speak at the CCUA’s 2026 National Conference for Canada’s Credit Unions taking place May 10-13 in Ottawa. The conference will focus on the future of Canada’s credit union sector, exploring strategies, innovation and leadership priorities shaping financial services.
Julie will host the session “Navigating Corporate Breaches” on May 12 at 7:30 a.m. The session will examine director and officer responsibilities in navigating corporate breaches, including lessons from recent cyberattacks and practical approaches to assessing risk, communicating vulnerabilities and responding effectively to incidents.
Marissa will speak on the session “AML Workshop” on May 13 at 12:00 p.m. This session will examine how FINTRAC conducts reviews, key areas of focus for examiners and practical considerations for governance, controls and disclosure, drawing on real-world experience to highlight common challenges and effective preparation strategies.
