Patently Absurd, Episode 2: Exploring recent court decisions
Join Torys' intellectual property lawyers for an informal discussion on all aspects of patent law. We’ll be analyzing the old, the new—and most definitely the absurd—in candid conversation, all while taking questions from the audience and welcoming special guests along the way.
Niki and Andy are back for the episode two of Patently Absurd. In “Something Old”, they will tackle the age-old question of jurisdiction in patent cases, and the impact of the Salt decision. In the “Something New” segment they will highlight a trio of developments in the Supreme Court and Federal Court of Appeal. Special guest Dr. Karen Townsend will join the pair for “Something Borrowed” to discuss recent U.S. case law involving assignee estoppel.
As always, we welcome any questions—either before or during—that you would like addressed
