Student Program

Our people are our greatest strength and diversity is at the core of what allows the firm to excel. We are committed to diversity in our practice, meaningful community involvement and in the retention and promotion of our lawyers.

“Torys is a great place to work because it fosters a culture of respect, humility and gratitude. This culture brings out the best in people, both professionally and personally.”

– Kirsten Hentschel (2020-2021 Articling Student)

Affinity Groups. We have a number of formal affinity groups designed to bring together lawyers and students with shared experiences or backgrounds. Our affinity groups offer further strength to the firm’s support system as well as additional mentoring opportunities and include the Asian Lawyers Group, Black Lawyers Group, LGBTQ2S Lawyers Group, Muslim Lawyers Group, Women in Law and more. We encourage our students to get involved!

Accessibility. Torys is committed to creating and maintaining an accessible environment for all employees and will provide accommodation where required. If you require a specific accommodation because of a disability or medical need, please advise Emma Sako.
