Meet Our Students

Our 2017-2018 Articling Students:

Aaron Zambonin

Aaron completed law school at the University of Calgary. He has an Honours BA (criminology and criminal justice) from Carleton University. Aaron spent a semester abroad at the University of Helskinki in his last year. He was a volunteer at Pro Bono Students Canada. Last summer, he worked as a research assistant at the Canadian Institute of Resources Law. Previously, Aaron worked as a road side interviewer at Beirness & Associates Inc. and was a summer student at Forget Smith Morel Barristers and Advocat(e)s in Ottawa. Aaron worked as a summer student in the performance standards inspection and fleet and equipment departments at Enbridge Gas Distribution. Aaron's interests include skiing, outdoor activities and fitness.

Michelle Holmes

Michelle has completed her second year of law school at the University of Toronto. She has an Honours BComm (transportation and logistics) from the University of British Columbia. At law school, she is a social affairs coordinator for the University of Toronto Mentorship Program and is a soccer captain and member of the U of T Ultimate Frisbee and Flag Football team. Michelle is also a volunteer for the Laws In Action Within Schools (LAWS) mentoring program. Previously, Michelle worked as a summer law student and file clerk for McAllister LLP and as an events assistant for Quality Seminars Inc. Michelle’s interests include outlaw air racing, soccer, running and fishing.

Chantal Carriere

Chantal has completed her second year of law school at the University of Calgary. She has a BA in political science, international studies and philosophy from the University of Northern British Columbia. At law school, she volunteers with the Environmental Law Society, LEVEL, and Pro Bono Students Canada. She was also the co-president of the Chinese Language and Culture Club at the University of Calgary. Last summer she worked as a junior professional consultant for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in Ha Noi, Vietnam. She previously interned with the Canadian Consulate in Guangzhou, China. Chantal’s interests include martial arts, travelling, and languages.
