Torys named IP and Life Sciences Law Firm of the Year by Chambers Canada

We are delighted to announce that Torys has been named IP and Life Sciences Law Firm of the Year at the Chambers Canada Awards 2023.

Commenting on Torys’ win, Chambers Canada said that we have “long held significant ability in both the [i]ntellectual property and life sciences arenas, and this once again is reflected in their recognition in the 2024 Canada Guide, with the firm retaining band 1 and band 2 department rankings in both tables.”

“Most significantly this year, client feedback evidenced a strength of team that expands beyond powerhouse lawyers like Eileen McMahon and Andrew Shaughnessy. Nicole Mantini achieved Up-and-Coming recognition in our Intellectual Property: Litigation table this year, while 3 associates were also recognised: Denise Ramsden, Melanie Rowand and Tasha De Freitas.”

This announcement was made during the release of Chambers Canada’s 2024 Canada Guide, in which our Life Science practice was ranked in Band 1, and our Intellectual Property was ranked Band 2.

In addition, we are pleased to share that 85% of our Canadian partners across practices have been ranked in the 2024 guide—the highest amongst our peers—with 119 lawyers and 38 practice areas recognized.
