Denise’s practice focuses on food and drug regulatory and intellectual property law. She provides guidance on various issues related to regulated products (such as drugs, medical devices and natural health products) including Food and Drugs Act compliance, product licensing, establishment licensing, packaging and labelling. Denise has expertise in drafting and listing Form IVs on Canada’s Patent Register (Canada’s version of the U.S. Orange Book). She also advises on matters related to regulated health professions.
Denise also advises on the acquisition and exploitation of intellectual property in related transactions, as well as intellectual property licensing and assignment.
Denise has volunteered with the Law in Action Within Schools (LAWS) program, a high school program that uses legal education as a tool to assist students to succeed in school and become engaged and active citizens.
During law school, Denise volunteered with the Law Students’ Legal Advice Program (LSLAP), which provides free legal advice and representation to individuals otherwise unable to afford legal assistance.
