Platinum Equity completes acquisition of Husky Injection Molding Systems

Torys acted as counsel to Husky Injection Molding Systems, Berkshire Partners and OMERS Private Equity in Canada with a team led by John Emanoilidis and that included Matthew Atkey and Stephen Abrahamson (corporate/M&A), Jerald Wortsman and Craig Maurice (tax), Susan Nickerson, Jennifer Lennon and Caitlin Morin (employment), Omar Wakil (regulatory), Michael Fortier (environmental), Ed Fan (IP) and Graham Rawlinson (real estate).

On December 18, 2017, OMERS Private Equity and Berkshire Partners announced that they agreed to sell Husky IMS International Ltd. ("Husky") to funds managed and/or advised by Platinum Equity for US$3.85 billion.

The closing of the transaction was announced on March 29, 2018.
