LEAGUE raises C$33 million in Series A financing
On June 14, 2016, League Inc. (LEAGUE) announced that it raised C$33 million (US$25 million) in a Series A financing, led by OMERS Ventures. One of the largest Series A funding rounds in Canadian tech history, the team of investors also included financing from Infinite Potential Technologies, Real Ventures and BDC IT Venture Fund, as well as strategic investments by RBC, owner of Citi National, John Hancock's parent company, Manulife Financial and Power Financial Corporation.
LEAGUE is the new digital alternative to traditional health insurance that connects employers and employees to a comprehensive network of health services and benefits, giving them choice, convenience and value.
