Imperial Capital and OPTrust invest C$121 million in Dental Corporation of Canada Holdings Inc.

On July 28, 2014, Imperial Capital Group of Toronto (Imperial Capital), together with its partner OPTrust Private Markets Group (OPTrust), announced the completion of a C$121 million investment in Dental Corporation of Canada Holdings Inc. (Dental Corp.), Imperial Capital's fifth healthcare investment within North America in the past 5 years.

Dental Corp., based in Toronto, is the largest group of dental practices in Canada with approximately 90 locations.

Imperial Capital is a Toronto-based private equity fund manager that focuses on middle market buyouts, acquisitions of platform companies, and add-on acquisitions of medium sized and middle market companies in Canada and the United States.

OPTrust, with assets of C$16 billion, invests and manages one of Canada's largest pension funds and administers the OPSEU Pension Plan, a defined benefit plan with almost 84,000 members and retirees.
