Brookfield completes acquisition of stake in two Chilean toll roads for US$291 million

On December 21, 2011, Brookfield Asset Management Inc. (Brookfield) completed its acquisition of a substantial stake in two Chilean toll roads from Spanish firm Actividades de Construcción y Servicios, S.A (ACS), for US$291 million. A consortium led by Brookfield acquired ACS's 46.48% stake in Vespicio Norte toll road and 50% stake in San Cristobal Tunnel.
