Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital
Torys acted as counsel to the lenders to Community Health Consortium (Lend Lease/Acciona/AECON/Dalkia), a shortlisted proponent for the Halton Healthcare Services PPP project to design, build, finance and maintain a new state-of-the-art hospital in Oakville, Ontario.
Designed and built to meet the Canada Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) rating system, the new 1.6-million square foot hospital includes
- capacity for up to 457 inpatient beds on opening day
- a full range of health services, including maternal child, critical care, emergency, medical surgical, complex continuing care, rehabilitation, diagnostics, ambulatory care and a variety of support services
- inpatient/outpatient adult, child and adolescent mental health services
