Rogers Communications acquires Atria Networks
Torys acted as counsel to Rogers, working with in-house counsel David Miller, Senior Vice President Legal and General Counsel, and Janice Spencer, Senior Director and Senior Legal Counsel. The Torys team included Sharon Geraghty, Adam Armstrong, Paul Cowling, Jamie Becker, Anthony Tam, Tom Miller and Andrew Mercer (corporate), Jay Holsten, Omar Wakil and Sue-Anne Fox (competition), Jim Welkoff and Catrina Card (tax), Christina Medland (pension and employment), Dennis Mahony (environmental), Graham Rawlinson (real estate) and with assistance from Wilfred Estey and John Cameron.
On January 4, 2011, Rogers Communications Inc. completed its previously announced acquisition of Atria Networks LP from Birch Hill Equity Partners for C$425 million, subject to certain adjustments.
