Professional Involvement
Emily served as a legal intern in the Implementation Department for a First Nation in the Yukon Territory.
While articling at Torys, Emily volunteered with the Law in Action Within Schools (LAWS) program, a high school program that uses legal education as a tool to assist students to succeed in school and become engaged and active citizens.
During law school, Emily volunteered at Pro Bono Ontario’s Law Help Centre, providing legal information to low-income self-represented litigants. She also worked as a volunteer at Downtown Legal Services in the Refugee and Immigration Law Division.
