Cristelle’s practice focuses on employment-related matters related to pensions, employee benefits, individual or group insurance and labour relations, including in the context of corporate and commercial transactions.
Cristelle has particular expertise advising companies and government on their pension plans and employee benefits programs, as well as pension plan wind-ups and group annuity purchases. She has also advised employers on their insurance programs related to senior executives and majority shareholders with respect to the taxation of insurance products and financial services.
Cristelle also provides advice on governmental relations, public affairs and media relations.
Cristelle is fluent in English and French.
Prior to joining Torys, Cristelle founded a firm that offered bilingual legal services and consultations to executives and private employers with regards to pensions, employee benefits and employment law. Cristelle also has over 15 years’ experience working with multinational human resources firms and government.
Cristelle volunteers with the Canadian Bar Association where she has served as a member of the executive committee of the Pensions and Benefits Law Section and co-chairs its communication committee.
