Ebad's practice focuses on technology contracting, outsourcing, sponsorship arrangements and general commercial agreements. He also regularly advises his clients in respect of software development, cloud computing and procurement matters.

His practice also focuses on sponsorship, licensing and naming rights agreements. He regularly advises corporate sponsors on how best to structure their sponsorship arrangements to maximize their return on investment.

Before joining Torys, Ebad practised at a large intellectual property firm, where he gained experience in all areas of intellectual property law. Prior to law school, he also gained experience working in the software industry developing database applications for a company that specialized in electronic tolling systems.
Ebad also worked as legal counsel at GlaxoSmithKline on secondment.
