Aria Laskin’s practice focuses on litigation and dispute resolution in a variety of areas, including corporate/commercial litigation, privacy, Aboriginal law, administrative law, investor-state arbitration, and public law.

Professional Involvement

During law school, Aria was the associate editor of the Journal of International Law and International Relations. She also worked as a researcher in the Office of the Prosecutor, International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda, and a volunteer caseworker with the criminal and refugee/immigration divisions of Downtown Legal Services. Prior to joining Torys, Aria was a law clerk at the British Columbia Court of Appeal, and a summer student at a New York law firm.


Aria volunteers with Pro Bono Ontario, acting as duty counsel in Small Claims Motions Court and providing summary legal advice to self-represented litigants. While clerking, Aria volunteered with the Justice Education Society and mentored high school students through Big Sisters.
