Leora’s practice focuses on litigation and dispute resolution, particularly complex commercial cases and patent litigation. She has litigated patent and product liability matters in the oil and gas, pharmaceutical and medical device industries, as well as commercial cases involving oppression, breach of contract, civil conspiracy and wrongful dismissal.

With an academic background in mathematics, Leora’s sophisticated problem-solving skills shape her approach to litigation and creative use of litigation technology. Her decade of experience in teaching and mentorship extends clarity and imagination to all her advocacy and advice. She has a keen understanding of client needs and pressures and emphasizes deep collaboration in the teams she supports.

Professional Involvement

Prior to joining Torys as an associate, Leora served as a law clerk at the Court of Appeal for Ontario.


Leora has worked as a researcher at the David Asper Centre for Constitutional Rights and the Law Commission of Ontario, as well as a caseworker in the tenant housing division of Downtown Legal Services. During law school, Leora was an associate editor of the Indigenous Law Journal.
