Sarah's practice focuses on pension and employment law. She advises on pension investments, as well as the treatment of pensions and benefits in mergers and acquisitions.
Sarah advises on both federal and provincial employment and labour matters, such as hiring, terminations of employment, labour relations, human rights, pay equity, accessibility, employment standards, workplace policies, and occupational health and safety, including with regard to corporate and commercial transactions.
Prior to joining Torys, Sarah worked as a summer law student in the legal and compliance department at CI Financial Corp.
As an articling student, Sarah volunteered with Law in Action Within Schools (LAWS), a program that uses legal education as a tool to assist high school students to succeed in school and become engaged and active citizens.
During law school, Sarah mentored students as an upper year buddy and served as the vice co-chair for the Dalhousie Feminist Legal Association.
