Pat’s practice focuses on pension and employment law. Pat regularly advises clients on domestic and international pension investments, as well as plan governance and the treatment of pensions and benefits in the mergers and acquisitions context. Pat also specializes in both federal and provincial employment and labour matters, such as hiring, terminations of employment, labour relations, human rights, pay equity, accessibility, employment standards, workplace policies, and occupational health and safety, including with regard to corporate and commercial transactions.

Professional Involvement

As a summer student and articling student at Torys, Pat was seconded to Scotiabank’s legal department.

Memberships and Affiliations

Pat is a Member-at-Large in the Pensions and Benefits Section Executive of the Ontario Bar Association (OBA). He is also a member of the Labour and Employment Section of the OBA.

Pat is a faculty member at Osgoode Professional Development’s Pension Law Certificate course and is a contributing author to Thomson Reuters’ Practical Law Canada.
