Scott is co-head of Torys’ Capital Markets Practice. He has received a number of recognitions as a leading lawyer in his practice areas and is recognized internationally as a leading Canadian corporate finance and capital markets lawyer by numerous prominent publications and lawyer ranking agencies.
Scott practises securities and corporate law, with an emphasis on corporate finance and M&A. Scott has extensive experience representing issuers and underwriters in various complex matters, including domestic and cross-border public/private equity and debt financings, M&A, and other business reorganizations and restructurings.
Scott also represents senior and junior public issuers in numerous aspects of general corporate law and securities regulatory matters, including corporate governance, continuous disclosure, regulatory compliance and transaction implementation.
