Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Canada) will require the Canadian government to amend the current medical marijuana regime under the Marihuana for Medical Purposes Regulations [MMPR] so that individuals can legally grow their own cannabis for medical use. The government has 6 months to enact a new regime to address individual growers’ rights. Will the government be enacting regulations for recreational use this year? Stay tuned.
