Associate Nick Ettinger will speak at the Canadian Carbon Capture 2026 conference taking place June 22-23 in Calgary. The conference will bring together industry leaders to examine developments in carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) and transport solutions aligned with net-zero objectives. It will also highlight emerging CCUS technologies and strategies to reduce emissions in supporting the transition to a more sustainable, circular carbon economy.

Nick will speak on the panel “CO₂ Storage Permanence, MMV, and CCUS Carbon Crediting” on June 22 at 3:20 p.m. The panel will explore the technical, legal and market challenges of CO₂ storage, including risk management, monitoring strategies and barriers to building confidence and demand for CCUS carbon credits.

Nick will also lead the panel “Regulation of Pore Space: Ownership, Development, and Operational Risks” on June 23 at 9:10 a.m. The panel will review the regulatory frameworks for pore space, including ownership issues, conflict resolution and the legal and commercial risks associated with CCUS development.
