Partner and Tax Controversy and Litigation practice lead Martha MacDonald and partner Craig Maurice will speak at the CBA Tax Law for Lawyers Conference taking place May 31-June 4 in Niagara-on-the-Lake. The conference will provide practical guidance on the application of Canadian tax law, tailored for junior lawyers and non-specialists seeking a foundational understanding of key tax issues.
Craig will speak on the panels “Rollovers – Section 85” at 8:00 a.m. and “Case Study: Section 85” at 11:00 a.m. on June 1. Martha will speak on the panels “Tax Dispute Resolution II: The Conduct of Tax Litigation” at 2:15 p.m. and “Ethical Issues in Tax Practice: Solicitor – Client Privilege” at 3:45 p.m. on June 3.
