CanREA Clean Power Finance Canada Summit

Partner and co-head of Torys’ Indigenous practice Valerie Helbronner will speak at the CanREA Clean Power Finance Canada Summit on May 5 in Toronto. The summit will bring together developers, capital providers, Indigenous partners and procurement entities to discuss financeable clean power projects and associated capital deployment.

Valerie will moderate the panel “Awarded but not built: The capital stack, the long cycle and what it takes to close Canadian clean power deals” at 1:00 p.m. The panel will examine how investment tax credits, public funding and project finance are combined to move large clean electricity procurements from contract award to financial close, and what differentiates projects that successfully close from those that stall.
