Invest Canada ‘25

Senior Associate Geoff Kelsall will speak at the Canadian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (CVCA) Invest Canada ‘25 conference taking place in Calgary between May 27-29.  The conference will explore insights relevant to today’s investment environment, addressing the challenges faced by private market leaders, offering practical strategies and knowledge to navigate these complexities.

Geoff will speak on the panel “Current Trends and Hot-Button Issues for LPs in Sponsor Fundraising” on May 27 at 4:00 p.m. This session, exclusively for LPs, will focus on the factors influencing fund negotiations and institutional investment strategies. It will cover significant market pressures, including the rising use of continuation vehicles, tensions around co-investment allocations, changing expectations regarding side letters, and the shifting terms related to key-person risk and no-fault removal.
