International developments in the fintech space: learnings for Canada

The Federal government has often voiced its commitment to new technologies. However, other jurisdictions are largely considered to be significantly ahead of Canada when it comes to the fintech space.

In this session, we will discuss international regulatory developments impacting the fintech sector, the successes and challenges they have experienced and the implications, and lessons learned, for Canada’s fintechs. We will also examine innovative product offerings outside Canada and discuss the opportunities and challenges the Canadian regulatory landscape provides to fintechs wishing to follow in the footsteps of their international counterparts.

This session will be presented in English.
