Cultural differences have a profound influence on the way people think, communicate and conduct negotiations - from the business etiquette in meetings, to understanding what motivates the stakeholders, to communication styles (verbal and non-verbal) and actual persuasive tactics.

There is no question that working across cultural boundaries can be complex but we have an obligation to deepen our understanding and build our skills in order to improve our intercultural competence and be more effective when working on international transactions.

Anthony Cioni will deliver this session about cultural awareness in the context of international negotiations. His program will draw on experiences, insights from the ABA Guide to International Business Negotiations and other literature on the topic.

Continental breakfast will be served from 7:45 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
