Spread across 3,330 acres of privately owned cultivated and grazing land in Vulcan County, eight km southwest of the Village of Lomond, the project will consist of approximately 1.3 million monocrystalline bifacial solar panels and generate enough electricity to support the needs of 100,000 homes.
Construction on the project began in June 2021 and is expected to achieve commercial operation by the end of 2022. It will be supported by a long-term corporate purchase power agreement with Amazon.com Inc. for up to 400 MW of power from the project.
Further information on the project can be found on Travers Solar’s website.
The project is owned by joint venture partners Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners.
