Cargojet Income Fund completes C$59.5 million initial public offering
Torys acted as counsel to the underwriting syndicate with a team that included Philip Brown, Adam Armstrong, Andrea Unikowsky and Alfred Avanessy (corporate), John Unger and Andrea Shreeram (tax), Adam Delean and Natasha De Cicco (financing), Christina Medland, Mitch Frazer and Valerie Arthur (pension and employment) and Dennis Mahony (environmental).
On June 9, 2005, Cargojet Income Fund (TSX: CJT.UN) completed its C$59,545,450 initial public offering. The net proceeds of the offering were used by the fund to acquire all of the shares of Cargojet Holdings Ltd. Cargojet is the leading provider of time-sensitive overnight air cargo service to major cities across Canada.
The underwriting syndicate was co-led by RBC Dominion Securities, as sole bookrunning manager, with BMO Nesbitt Burns, and included CIBC World Markets, Scotia Capital and Genuity Capital Markets.
